Call it an exchange program for foodies and wine lovers.
Campbell Whitman, the Cordon Bleu-trained daughter of Old Creek Ranch Winery owners John and Carmel Whitman, is now working as executive chef at O Chateau Wine Bar in Paris.
Olivier Magny is the French-born sommelier, author and blogger who owns O Chateau. And from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, he will visit the Whitmans’ winery as part of a U.S. tour for his new book.
Titled “Stuff Parisians Like: Discovering the Quoi in the Je Ne Sais Quoi,” Magny’s collection of essays has been described as “part homage, part serious, part tongue in cheek” in its exploration of the French lifestyle.
The Old Creek event will feature a presentation, a discussion and a wine tasting led by Magny. Admission, $55 in advance or $65 at the door, includes all of the above and a signed copy of the book.
